"I'm on a boat!" PART 1

I have actually never even heard the song that goes "I'm on a boat," except through Michael's own rendition of it. However, it seems as though I can't get it out of my head this summer.
Since Michael and I moved to middle TN, we have been missing a few things. One of those is being surrounded by the lake. Aaaahh, the lake. That is where we stood as the sun was about to set and the mountains towered in the distance when he asked me if I would be his bride. We spent many hours on the lake while dating and engaged, so anytime we are invited to go, we jump at the chance. Nowadays it is just with 2 little ones in tow.
We spent Memorial day out with our friends on beautiful Center Hill.
I was worried little Lila would not even want to get on the boat since she is so scared of loud noises. She was a little timid, but quickly relaxed.
Here she is contemplating:

She had a blast. At first she hated the life jacket, but then she didn't want to take off "my coat."
It was also a good thing that we didn't put her on the tube until the ride in, because the rest of us would have never got a chance to ski, wakeboard, etc. She LOVED riding the tube and splashing her feet in the water. Honestly, I am not sure if a day goes by where she doesn't talk about "my boat and my coat and splash my feet."

Graham was super excited about the boat ride! He just chilled out and even took a small snoozer. Yep, that is him, on the floor, under the dashboard, resting on a comfy lifejacket!

He actually was not too excited about the lifejacket business.

Michael and I also wakeboarded for the first time. I loved it! I think Michael did too. He just wants to get better at it.

Hence this wipeout picture! :)

I think I may officially be a "boarder" now too!
Stay tuned for our upcoming weekend lake trip....

Just a glimspe...

I wish you all could see what I wake up to each morning. Every day is a
gift. Here is a glimpse of the little blessings we have been given.
