Tickle Me Tuesday

Since we have "wordless wednesdays" and "favorite foto friday", I thought I would make up my own catchy phrase for today. So, here is my Tickle Me Tuesday post. Why? Well, because this just tickled me! DUH!

Squeezin' in a Snooze

We had a hectic, but wonderful day today(more on it to come later,)but my boy and I were able to squeeze in a little snooze. Too bad we weren't able to capture the part where he had his arm completely draped across me. I could've stayed like that for days! :)

It's our Monthdays!

*This is the post that I tried posting before and it didn't work. Of course, this time I can't remember everything I wrote, so I am a little dissapointed.

It’s our Monthdays! Graham turned 5 months on the 1st and Lila turned 21 months on the 3rd. My, how quickly they grow.
This little girl amazes me everyday. I can't keep up with all the new words/sentences and funny things this girl does. Literally everyday it is something new. So to commemorate this month, here are 21 things about Lila. Please note: these are ALL sorts of things, some a little quirky, but all loveable.
1. She is now very protective over people's belongings. I.E. If I take a drink of Michael's drink, I get the lecture..."No, it's Daddy's." So does the waitress at the restaurant who clears our table. "No, it's Mommy's pate." As does the nurse who helps me undress Graham, "No, it's Gam's clothes."
2. She doesn't like for us to get up from the table. "Mommy/Daddy sit down." Every now and then we will get a "pease" after her demand.
3. When we get in the car, she says, "Roll Over." OVER AND OVER. This is a song on her Kindermusik CD. She also sings "Roly Poly Roly Poly Up, Up, Up!" She loves to do the motions on both songs at the house.
4. She sings the clean up song, "Keen up, evwy body, (and then something that is suppose to be everywhere.)"
5. When she sings her ABC's, she doesn't get past D because she breaks into Deep and Wide with the motions. "A,B,C, D Deep and Wide."
6. She has started attempting to put on her own pants. She also likes to help with the laundry, and if she finds a pair of my underwear they end up on her head.
7. She got her 2nd ear infection and was REALLY sick this month. We had several nights where she woke up screaming in the night. We even tried putting her in bed with us. Even with a high fever the girl wouldn't go to sleep with us or on us.
8. When she is counting something herself without me starting her with number 1, she says, "4,9,10." ALWAYS. Sometimes she will add something that sounds like 11, 12.
9. As far as shapes go, she recognizes circle, triangle, heart, and star. Most days.
10. Refer to previous post about "Poopie Potty."
11. She now calls my mom "Grandmother" instead of “Ma.”
12. She takes a coaster with her around the house and puts her milk on it. I even found her milk in the “frigerator” sitting on a coaster once. Gotta love it!
13. She helped me cook for the fist time when we made cookies for Valentines. She loved it!
14. She loves to feed Chloe. "Cohee, Foooood." She takes the cup, but then gives it to her piece by piece. This will keep her entertained for quite some time.
15. She knows if we actually get dressed for the day that we are leaving to go somewhere. All I hear all morning before we leave is, "Coat, Bye Bye, and then naming wherever we are going.
16. She LOVES to go to "Stoweytiiiime" at the Library and will talk about it constantly. Although, I don't think she has ever sat through a whole story before. It is more about the play, I am sure. And about the fact that she gets to see "Mason, Baby Jenna, Mawk?" Although she doesn't get to see Mark at Storytime, she has high hopes.
17. If she doesn't know what something is it is just called, "This." Or, if she thinks she can’t pronounce something, she just won’t try.
18. She loves to ask, "What's that?"
19. She likes to pretend to "pump" and "nurse." AAHH! She even says, “Pump, Pump, Get it Get it “
20. I gave her a small pillow to sleep with. The next morning I asked her if she liked sleeping with her new pillow and she said, " Uh huh, I like it."
21.She likes to play a game where she opens the door to the room I am in and say, “Hi Mommy.” Then she shuts it and says “Bye Mommy.”

Here is my little stinker bug at 21 months!

Here is my little 5 month old! Oh how I love this boy!
Here are 5 things about my sweet little boy this past month.
1. He rolled over! Finally, my boy rolled from belly to back.
2. He got his first ear infection. I should say first 2 because it was a double. Poor thing.
3. He blows lots of bubbles when he talks.
4. He tried out his jumperroo for the first time.
5. He is held A LOT and he loves it! He likes to snuggle with mommy at naptime and with daddy at night on the sofa.

I love love love this age, because each and everyday you see more and more of their personalities. Graham is such a good baby. I couldn't do it if he wasn't. I am going to have to work on the nap situation though. Usually, his morning nap ends up being in the car if we are going somewhere for Lila, and I will lie down with him in the afternoons. ( I know...so bad.) However, if it is time for him to go to sleep when we are trying to get out the door, it is not good. He will cry and cry because he wants to be held. We have practiced sitting up a little, but to be honest he doesn't get as much on the ground, playtime because I am holding him chasing after Lila. (Again, I know..very bad.)
He is just precious though and everyone comments on how he looks like a little man. I never thought I would love having a son so much! Yes, girls are still a lot more fun to dress, but God knew what he was doing when he gave me my boy!

*Update*
I took Graham back for his follow up appointment and he STILL has an infection in both ears. We are on another 10 day round of antibiotics. We have also had the yucky stomach bug around here. Here is hoping and praying that Michael and Graham do not get it. Here is to a Healthy Week!

The Cat and the Hat

Last week was Dr. Seuss's Birthday! Our local Library had a great celebration day. My friend Melissa actually was the cat in the hat. Although I actually forgot my camera (yes, I forgot my camera...shocker, I know) I had to snap this picture with my cell phone. As usual, Lila was terrified. I think that she and Michael secretly plotted that she would be scared of all things in costume so he would get out of ever having to go to Disney World. If not, then this is his ticket out because my girl bursts into hysterics at all characters.
Anyway, I have lots of blogging catching up to do. I spent about two hours the other night writing and uploading photos for it to somehow conviently NOT post and not save even after I hit save 500 times...eerrr. Anyway, be sure to check back for baby monthdays, snow pics, and other fun stuff! In the meantime, I remembered I had this cute picture on my phone.

Makes my Heart Melt

Today, Michael stayed home with the kids while I went to church. They are still not 100% and with all the funk going around I figured it would be best to keep them home. He got to go to church the last time, so today it was my turn. I walked in from church with my purse and bible in hand. Lila was sitting at the table. Her first words to me were, "It's a...Bible!" I didn't even know she knew what it was. It made my heart melt and I felt so proud!
Then, as quickly as it came...it faded fast. She proceeded to argue with me telling me, "No, It's Daddy's Bible." It wasn't, but she sure thought she was right. Aaahhh...that girl!

Just a glimspe...

I wish you all could see what I wake up to each morning. Every day is a
gift. Here is a glimpse of the little blessings we have been given.
