The Clan has arrived!

My sister, brother in law, and 3 little ones came to meet the newest Harrell addition this weekend. I was excited for them to come as I had many outings planned for us. Yes, I was ready to be out of the house! We had a grand time. Lila loves her cousins so much! Bedtime was not so lovely for mommy and daddy as Lila screamed and cried for “Jayce, Gace, and Ehya.” She has not acted like that in so long, but it broke my heart knowing she wanted to be upstairs where they were, without her. If I thought for a minute she would lie down and go to sleep with them I would have let her, but we all know that would never happen!
The Clan arrived Friday night, so we just spent the evening visiting and loving on Baby Graham. The kiddos also think jumping off the old trunk onto the air mattress is the best thing ever!

Saturday we loaded up and headed to College Grove.
A Big Thanks goes out to Mr. Poole and Diana for hosting a great “Open Farm” where we petted miniature donkey’s(one that was only 3 days old), and roasted marshmallows.

The kids also enjoyed the face painting and donkey rides. We even had a great surprise in getting to see Lila's friend, Will. They are really checking each other out!

After driving around most of Williamson and Maury County, we made a stop at Ring Farm where went on a non-hay hayride. Yes, I said NON-HAY. There was a ride, just no hay...only benches. Here is Lila during the scary part of the ride. (Check out the mullet.)

The best part of this stop would have to be the home-made slide. It was this black bumpy tubing that looks like you would use it on a construction site. To go down it, we sat on potato sacks. So Fun! To I must say, I am one who loves roller coasters and anything thrilling, but I even let out a little scream going down! Lila had a big time. However, the highlight for her was getting to sit and play in the rocks as she watched everyone else come down. She would let out a big clap and "YEAH!!" each time someone new appeared at the bottom. Her other favorite thing was "sorting" all the pumpkins and gords. One by one she moved each of them to a different pile. What a good helper! :)

Although the trip went fast, we had a great time. I was pooped on Sunday after everyone left, but not enough to miss out on the beautiful fall weather. Michael, Lila, Graham, and I loaded up and went to Gentry's Farm. Unfortunately, we did not get to stay too long, but Lila had a blast. I actually brought my camera, but left the battery on the charger at home. Figures! I did take pictures with our video camera, but I haven't looked into how to download them yet.
Anyway, thanks for coming to visit Harrison's!

We actually don't have any company planned for this coming weekend, so it will be nice to spend it together as a family. Friday night we have a Halloween Party to attend. Yes, I will be leaving my 3 week old! AAHH! I haven't tried a bottle yet, so let's hope that works out. I still have no idea what we are planning to be, but I will be sure to post pictures. I know Michael is looking forward to just being able to relax. He was super busy last week with work and even had to spend the night away on a retreat. I was not too happy about that, as Graham has been having his fussy time after his late night feeding. That means around 11:30/midnight he is screaming and crying until 2 or so. Luckily, my mom was here from Monday until Friday. She was a huge help. I just told Michael he was not allowed to work late nights and have over night trips when our children are only 2 weeks old! I know he wishes that were not the case either. We are also gearing up for the big UT/BAMA rival game on Saturday. I am going to have to find a way to sneak the babies BAMA outfits on before big UT daddy sees. :) Stay tuned...

We passed!

By that I mean.. Graham is 2 weeks old and is back to his birth weight. So obviously, I am making and he is drinking MILK! YEAH!! . The Dr. said he looks perfect. I have been super nervous about my milk supply and about just how much he sleeps. I know, I know…I should be thankful, but really I don’t sleep as well because I am worried about him sleeping too much and then I am having to wake him to eat while doing everything imaginable to keep him awake! He is obviously getting something because he is back to his birth weight, is 22 3/4 “ long, and pees and poops quite often.

Luckily Grandmother is here with us this week. Michael is super busy at work and will actually be spending the night away from home for a work retreat. We are looking forward to the Harrison clan to come visit next. I also want to give shout out to our dear friends...the Kaufman's, who are getting married this weekend in Charleston. I wish desperately that we could be there with you! Congratulations and we can't wait to see you again!

Week 2

Well, we are in the middle of the 2nd week of Brother Graham's life. We have had lots of visitors including Mamaw and Papaw and some dear friends. Luckily, my mom is coming back to help me this week. I did pretty well by myself last week after Michael went back to work. It did take me about 10 minutes just to pack up everything I needed to go where....??? UPSTAIRS! :) Luckily, Graham is sleeping A LOT right now. I know I should not complain, but I do worry that he sleeps too much and isn't having enough wake time. I have to wake him up to eat, and do you know how hard that is in the middle of the night?! I am anxious to go back to the Dr. on Wednesday to see if he is back to his birth weight.
Lila has been a sweet heart. All I can say, is I am so thankful for the rain. It made it dark in her room in the mornings, which helped her to sleep in. This was totally a God thing, because I needed her to sleep in and nap well for me. She did just that my first few days home a lone. I know it won't last forever, but I will take whatever I can get. Today we attempted to surprise Daddy at work and take him to lunch, but instead Mommy found herself surprised by about 6 people gathered in Daddy's office for a meeting. Needless to say, we didn't get to do the lunch thing. We did hang around and show Graham off while waiting for Michael to finish his meeting. We also went by and visited the girls at LIS. Lila had a big time! She had not had a nap, so she was full of herself! She ran around like she owned the place.

Here are a few snapshots from over the weekend. Thanks Stephen and Suzanne for coming to visit.

Just a glimspe...

I wish you all could see what I wake up to each morning. Every day is a
gift. Here is a glimpse of the little blessings we have been given.
