Bathing Beauties

This was Graham and Lila's first bath together. Graham isn't too sure what to think about it, but Lila loved it! She loved taking her cup and pouring water on Graham. She also enjoyed splashing splashing splashing, which he didn't like so much! :)

Stroller Ride

Why oh why did I not get this stroller 4 months ago?1?!? I could have resolved so many issues. For one, my back might not hurt so bad from carrying/almost dropping/sometimes strangling a kid on one hip and carrying/banging into everything a car seat in the other arm. Two, I hopefully will no longer leave in a sweat from every place I go from doing the above, and three, I won't dump the entire contents of my purse and diaper bagS in the middle of the parking lot. Who knows...I might actually get somewhere on time now! I love this thing. The kids can face each other, sit back to back, both face me, or both face out. It is so super easy to use and they love it. It even has little handles for the older kids to hang on to while walking. Lila loves to help push and we have had many battles over her wanting to push the single stoller that she could not reach, so now she can help while walking. It finally warmed up enough for us to go outside, however by the time we made it out, the sun was starting to set and it was getting cool again. Never the less, we ventrued out anyway.

Super Six Super Bowl!

I love these girls! They are my Super Six and I was lucky to get to watch ( ok, so we didn't really watch)the Super Bowl with them. It was more like eat, talk, laugh and eat some more! They even have included Lila as part of the girls...AAWW! These are my favorite picture taken friends ever. We usually have 6 cameras out taking random pictures, setting the timer, and being goofy.

We did watch the 3D commercial. Emily was super confused. I wonder why...check out her glasses! :) Kelly J. was just too interested in her wonderful chocolate pudding dessert (I can't blame her) to care about the glasses. And Lila...sweet Lila LOVED the glasses. She even snuck every pair she could get her hands on into the diaper bag before we left.

Lila was super excited about getting to take pictures with the BIG girls! She loved how we would all gather behind the cameras and then take off running before the timer went off. We tried this once without her and it totally hurt her feelings. I didn't really think she would understand that we were leaving her out, but OH MY...the drama. She was pitiful. Needless to say, we did a few extra "timer" poses to make up for it. She had a great time, as you can see!

Lila can't wait for Baby Brody's arrival! (Actually, Graham is more excited.)

Lila loved the food. As you can see, she was WAY more interested in it than taking a picture with me. She wanted "mo chaiwies"( more cherries) and "mo fruit".

Here is our little fam...

This handsome little boy is 4 MONTHS OLD TODAY!! sniff sniff. He is super dooper cute and sweet! He loves his mommy and daddy and anyone that will talk to him. He is such a happy boy. I don't think I could do it if he wasn't. He is so patient for mommy while she is trying to get Lila ready and loaded everyday and he even waits patiently for his milk. I am SO blessed!

And Last, but not least....
HANDSTANDS:

Uhh...not quite.

Almost there...

SUCCESS!

Ok..so I lied.

I didn't mean to. I did actually have a layed back, relaxing birthday, but after being presented with the opportunity to celebrate, of course I said YES! Several of my friends have January birthdays and mentioned that we should get together. How can I say no, especially since it is for other people too!?!

Sweet Surprises

One year ago, I was driving home from a friends house where we had gathered to stuff wedding invitations for her. My mind is always wandering and I started thinking about the miscarriage I had just had over Christmas. I also started thinking that it should be close for me to start my cycle again. Then it hit me. I could be pregnant, I thought. NAH..no way. That is not enough time for my body to recover from the miscarriage. My levels had just finally dropped all the way back down on New Years, so surely not. But then again, I have always had short cycles, so maybe??? I remembered that I had one test at the house and I thought that I would just take it and see. Every other time we have found out we were pregnant, Michael was there with me waiting. This time I just decided I would take it on my own because I thought he would think I was crazy. I ran in the door and he was on the couch watching TV. I said "Hey" as I threw my stuff down and ran to the bathroom and grabbed the test out from under the cabinet. I really thought that the test would be negative. Even if I was pregnant, I thought it would be too early to tell.
Lo and Behold...I saw that little positive sign instantly! I decided not to tell Michael right away. I waited until later. You really don't want the details, so I won't give them. I will say that Michael did not believe me at first...I TOLD YOU.
Anyway, the point of this post is to say that when I sit here and look at my sweet little boy, I would have never imagined one year ago that I would be holding him in my arms and the would have changed our lives the way he has. Life is full of such sweet surprises and God is so good...all the time!

Are those Piggies I see?!?

Piggy Tails to be exact. Is it true? Could this really be happening? Does MY daughter seriously have pig tails in? Why yes, she does. And they are super cute! Now whether or not they stay in will be the real test. But for now...this is what we have. I, of course could not get a cute picture of her face. I was literally chasing her through the house just to get these.
Anyway, last night, I found two small pony tail holders (probably from my nieces) and decided to try and put them in her hair. This was after arriving home from where a friend of mine took Lila's bow and clipped the mullet into a rat tail! Right then and there I decided I either had to cut the mullet or embrace it.

Lila did not like me messing with her and I basically had one shot to get them in. The holders were a little big, but I thought to myself, "This just might work." I decided that today we were heading to the TarJay and were finding teeny tiny ponytail holders. How exciting!
Oh, and AJ...if you happen to read this, please note that Lila is looking at her United States book. I can only hope that she too, will one day know the "states song!" :)

Just a glimspe...

I wish you all could see what I wake up to each morning. Every day is a
gift. Here is a glimpse of the little blessings we have been given.
