My Little Boy
I was doing laundry this afternoon and pulling out some of Lila's clothes that she can no longer wear. I get sad every time I do this. Of course I want her to grow up and be strong and healthy and I am so proud of her, but at the same time....well, don't we all just want them to stay little? I told Michael last night that this time last August she was just 2 months old. It is truly amazing how much they develop in such a short amount of time. What is even more amazing is that in 2months from now another little one will enter in our lives! As I am looking through Lila's clothes, I couldn't help but think that I really hope I have another girl one day! I can't imagine her being my only one. Then, I started to think about this other baby inside me. My sweet baby boy. I have been nervous about what to do with a little boy, but I think we will catch on pretty fast. Looking at this face, I think all I need to do is love him. I can't wait to meet him. (Actually, I can. I need all the time I can get to prepare!) You know what I mean though. The miracle of life in itself is a blessing and I can't wait to have my own momma's boy!
We went last week to have a 4D ultrasound done of him. These actually sometimes freak me out a little bit.:) This kicking king decided to take a big ole snooze right after lunch and didn't want to perform. Oh well, that is ok. We at least got a sweet shot of his face. To be honest, the shot he preferred to give us the most was of his cute little tooshy, but I will spare you those photos!
Here he is at 31 1/2 weeks! Still no name. Any suggestions?!?!

Here is the fam after the U/S.

Lila likes to give her brother a kiss. Can you tell I am a little shocked here?

Learning to Walk

Lila loves to put on her shoes and take off walking. She gets this look on her face that says, "I am a Big Girl!" She is doing SO well and improves every day. I feel like even over the weekend she has really learned to get up and go! She has hardly crawled at all this week, which actually makes me a little sad. I think I am going to miss that little fast paced, wiggly bottom crawl of hers. She crawls with some major force. She has been doing it for almost 6 months, so she is pretty good at it! This picture was actually taken July 30th, but it is too cute to not post!
1 Year Debut
Yes, I know, she is 14 months, but here are Lila's 1 year pictures I never posted. The pictures in the dress at the end is my grandmother's dress. All of the girls have had their picture taken in it, so it is very special. I can't believe these were taken almost 2 months ago. My, how she has grown(and gotten a little more hair.)! In addition to these, we got some REALLY cute ones from Portrait Innovations that I will post when I find the CD! :)

What is it about....

these old, worn out, handme down shoes that brings out my daughters bad temper? Last week, I put these shoes on her. She loved them and has really taken off with her walking while having shoes on. Anyway, the left shoe kept coming off. I had to put it back on like 5 times when I decided I would just take both of them off until we were ready to leave. I was trying to finish getting ready and could be done in about 5 minutes if I didn't have to keep stopping to put her shoe back on. I took both of them off and boy did she pitch a fit! She actually threw both of the shoes down on the ground and then proceeded to throw herself on the floor and scream. I was really taken aback by this outburst that I didn't know what to do. I just walked away into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I decided that ignoring her was the only thing I could do at that time. The next thing I know, she is crawling towards me as fast as she can with a shoe in her hand and then stands at my feet handing it to me. As soon as I get the shoes on her, she is fine. Unbelievable! I am seriously going to have to start hiding them because again on Thursday she found them and started screaming. She throws such a tantrum that it would make you think she was scared of the shoes and wanted nothing to do with them, but it is all because she wants them on and wants them on NOW. ...even if it is over her footed pajamas! I don't like this little attitude that she is displaying, but I can't help but find it a little humorous. If this is any indication of how it is going to be, then I am not looking forward to the days when she is strongly opinionated about what she wears. Lord help me!

I wish you all could see what I wake up to each morning. Every day is a
gift. Here is a glimpse of the little blessings we have been given.
